Code Patterns is a Visual Studio.Net Add-In. It allows you to easily automate a lot of repetitive but necessary code writing.
The results are greater productivity, more standardized and maintainable code, and last but not least much more fun.
Code Patterns works inserting pre-defined code in your class or function. This inserted code can be static or dynamic. Static parts of patterns are simply code that is directly "pasted" in your own code. Dynamic parts of patterns are code produced considering the environment the pattern is executed in. This allows great flexibility and power.
Writing Patterns is extremely easy. You can just mix pre-written code with Visual Basic Scripts to produce the output you need. In your patterns you can access a rich set of Code Patterns objects as well as all the Visual Studio.Net objects.
Although Code Patterns comes with a rich set of pre-written patterns, their main purpose is purely educational. Code Patterns is an environment where you can easily produce your own patterns to best suite your needs. You can also easily extend Code Patterns using both .Net components and COM objects.
