Strategic Map Simulator (SMS) is a utility for playing board games over long distances. It is built primarily with long distance PBEM (play-by-email) games in mind, but can also be used to facilitate games played in the same room. Since SMS files are all text, they're very small compared to graphic files. So once you've shared the graphic files from your game with your gaming partners via email, all you have to send back and forth are the SMS files. It's perfect for war games, chess, or role playing games...
