Private Disk hides and restricts access to your programs and data. Dekart Private Disk features an innovative Disk Firewall mechanism - a unique technology that shields your files from viruses and other malware even if your antivirus or antispyware program fails to protect the system. Now you can create a white-list of applications, and only these programs will be allowed to access the contents of the encrypted drive. This makes disaster recovery a simple process. All the information protected by Dekart Private Disk is transparently encrypted with Dekart's NIST-certified implementation of AES 256-bit - the strongest encryption algorithm available today. Private Disk supports all the versions of Windows that are in common use, providing the same features, whether you use the discontinued Windows 98, or the new 64-bit releases of Windows. A trully amazing product. I like that you can twist it in almost any direction and get yourself a lot of extra functionality. A nice example is the "How to use your Palm as a security token and as an encrypted disk" tutorial in their HowTo section. Brilliant! I am very happy with this little app. |
