The program NewName Pro makes it possible to rename (number/character ending, replace/insert sign series, change file extension, ...) and sort files, to change the file attributes (date, time, readonly, ...) quickly and easily. It is also possible to make or edit id3 tags of mp3-files and you can create and save directory structures.
Even the information stored in *.mp3 and *.ttf files can be used to rename the files.

Review by Elisha Neil: Great program but I did find spyware files on the system originating from the installation process. It is a low grade data miner and appears to only monitor the program user's access information. They're easy to remove with Adaware but I still find it somewhat irritating. I doubt I'll purchase the full version because of the spyware-its a matter of principal. :) Otherwise this was exactly what I was looking for. (4/5 - 7-Sep-2005)
